Be it enacted and ordained by the Mayor and Borough Council
of the Borough of Stockertown, and it is hereby enacted and ordained
by the authority of the same, that any person driving a vehicle on
any Borough street in the Borough of Stockertown shall drive the same
at a careful and prudent speed, not greater than nor less than is
reasonable and proper, having due regard to the traffic surface, and
width of the highway, and of any other restrictions or conditions
then and there existing; and no person shall drive any vehicle upon
any such street or highway at such a speed as to endanger the life,
limb or property of any person, nor at any speed greater than will
permit him to bring the vehicle at a stop within the assured clear
distance ahead, and in no event shall any person driving a vehicle
on a Borough street in the Borough of Stockertown drive said vehicle
at a speed in excess of 25 miles per hour.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon summary conviction before a Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine of $30 and costs of prosecution and, in default of the payment, shall undergo imprisonment of not more than five days.
