Building Permit Application
Required per State Law. Submitted in addition to Zoning Permit. You use a building permit application form in Pennsylvania for most construction, renovation, and demolition projects, which includes building new structures, adding to existing ones, major repairs, and altering electrical, plumbing, or mechanical systems.

New Construction: Building a new residential, commercial, or accessory structure like a garage or shed.

Additions and Alterations: Expanding an existing building, such as adding a deck, porch, sunroom, or finishing a basement.

Demolition: Tearing down or moving a structure, even partially.

System upgrades: Altering or replacing electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing systems, including adding new fixtures or circuits.

Major repairs: Any significant repair work that isn't considered routine maintenance, such as replacing a roof or siding.

Other: Installing a swimming pool, a new fence over 6ft, a retaining wall over 4 feet high, or changing the occupancy of a building

Not needed for painting, wallpapering, or other simple interior finishes in residential, or replacing a door or window without changing the opening size or fire rating.

Moving Permit
To be filled out by ALL residents & businesses moving in & moving out of the Borough. Tenants must fill out tenant registration forms.
Peddler Permit Required for anyone engaging in door-to-door sales, soliciting, or selling goods on the streets or sidewalks within the borough. A license is needed for each individual peddler.
