The decision to choose Forks Township Fire Department was predicated on their professionalism, training, and response time. They have been providing fire/rescue service to the Borough since November of 2006.
Forks Fire currently has an active trained membership of thirty plus volunteers and maintains a fleet of six state of the art fire and rescue vehicles. Their main Fire Station is located 3.8 miles from the center of Stockertown at 1606 Sullivan Trail in the Forks Township Municipal Complex. Their training site is located on Keubler Road in the township and hosts a four story training tower with a two story residential simulator and garage attachment. Our Borough's Emergency Services building on Werkheiser Street is designated as a Reserve Sub-Station of Forks Township as needed. The Forks Township Fire Department provides Fire protection, vehicle accident rescue, Quick Response Service, (medical basic life support), and many other types of services as needed to serve the residents of Forks, Stockertown and the surrounding areas.
