Emergency Services

All residents are to call 911 for any emergencies.

The Belfast Barricks of the PA State Police currently provides emergency police protection. They are located on 654 Bangor Road.

Fire and rescue protection for Stockertown is provided through a contract with the Forks Township Fire Department, chosen for its professionalism, training, and reliable response times.

Forks Township has served the Borough since November 2006 and maintains a trained volunteer membership of more than thirty individuals, supported by a fleet of six modern fire and rescue vehicles. The main station, located 3.8 miles from Stockertown at 1606 Sullivan Trail, anchors daily operations.

The department operates a dedicated training site on Keubler Road featuring a four‑story tower and residential simulator, and Stockertown’s Emergency Services building on Werkheiser Street serves as a reserve sub‑station when needed. Forks Township Fire Department provides fire protection, vehicle rescue, Quick Response Service (basic life support), and a range of additional emergency services to residents of Forks, Stockertown, and surrounding communities.

Volunteer firefighters respond to many types of emergencies, including fires, rescues, medical calls, hazardous materials incidents, and public service needs. They follow established department procedures and work under the guidance of trained officers as part of a skilled, coordinated team.
